Also a painting of the Weathered Series, this canvas was stationed creekside for the warmer months. It did have an adventure – on one visit I found the canvas out in the field. I don't know if an animal became curious and tried to tote it off?

The dead trees on the opposite bank rolled a few times during storms while my canvas was stationed across the creek, wrapping with one another in different embraces. It was after I finished the painting, leaving "ghosts" of their previous positions still visible in the drawing, I came to feel these trees represented my parents, now deceased. We create from places we realize and don't realize.
